Vorontsov, first vice-chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, in his speech made at the meeting praised President Kim Il Sung as a benefactor of the Korean people's liberation as he liberated the usurped country and paved the road for national resurrection.

Veredin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, said that Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea and the Songun idea in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, adding that his idea has been translated into a brilliant reality thanks to the unique Songun politics pursued by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Petrov, secretary of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, noted that today the DPRK's dignity and national power have reached the highest phase and the DPRK has demonstrated the might of an invincible socialist power thanks to the original Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il.

A message of greetings to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting.
