The chairman said in his statement that President Kim Il Sung made long journeys of anti-Japanese bloody battles for two decades, crushing the brigandish Japanese imperialists and achieving the historic cause of national liberation on August 15, 1945.

Kim Il Sung dedicated his all to building the DPRK into a genuine people's country and the most dignified and prosperous socialist power in the world till the last moments of his great life, he noted, and continued:

The President was the founder of socialist Korea and a benevolent father of the Korean people.

His cause is being successfully carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

He formulated the Songun politics as a main political mode under socialism and has won one victory after another in the anti-imperialist struggle and the struggle to defend socialism by providing dynamic Songun leadership.

The Korean people are now working hard to surely open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful nation in 2012 true to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
