Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Kang Ki Gap, representative of the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea, issued a statement on Aug. 14 urging the conservative ruling forces to sincerely implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
The statement noted that in the recent public opinion polls the absolute majority of the population called for reconciliation and cooperation between the south and the north and the retraction of the present "government's" hostile policy toward the DPRK.
The Lee Myung Bak "government" should opt for implementing the said declarations without delay, it held.
