Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Foreign Minister of Japan Nakasone was recently reported to have uttered that to obtain permanent membership of the UNSC is "one of the most important diplomatic tasks" of Japan. Minju Joson Tuesday in a signed commentary terms this outburst an impertinent behavior of a "political pigmy" lost to shame and all sense of decency. It goes on: As far as permanent membership of the UNSC is concerned, it is not something to be readily given to anyone who craves for it. Japan has pursued diplomacy, reading its master the U.S. face without any sense of dignity and the like, not to incur its displeasure. It is quite logical that Japan is not in a position to hold a responsible post of the UN. Japan has a history in which it did too hideous damage to humankind in the 20th century to be pardoned. Japan is the only country that has not yet paid to the international community for this. Japan keen to sit on the UNSC without fulfilling its obligation has become a laughing stock of the people. Japan, politically imbecile and diplomatically immature, eyes such responsible post of the UN. This is as foolish an act as trying to pluck a star from the sky. Japan had better to drop such foolish desire to get promotion, seized with such excessive ambition. Japan is obliged to redeem its past crimes before doing anything. |
