The reporters and speakers said that Kim Jong Il provided guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, Juche 49 (1960), marking the beginning of the glorious history of inheriting President Kim Il Sung's Songun idea and leadership and ushering in an era of a new turning point in developing the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK and accomplishing the cause of Juche.

They referred to the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Il in developing the KPA into the invincible revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and firmly defending the country, the revolution and Korean-style socialism with the might of Songun.

Kim Jong Il has successfully pursued the Songun politics with the KPA as the main force of the revolution and wisely led the drive to develop national economy, they stressed.

They evinced their determination to bring about miracles and innovations in production and construction through a new grand revolutionary march, true to the Party's Songun leadership, and thus contribute to opening the gate to a thriving nation.
