The bulletin said in an article titled "Kim Jong Il and Songun Revolutionary Leadership" that the Korean revolution was pioneered by President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea.

Kim Jong Il's start of Songun leadership on August 25, 1960, provided a decisive guarantee for carrying forward the history and tradition of the Songun revolutionary cause in the DPRK down through generations, it stressed.

The Korean People's Army has grown to be an invincible army under the Songun leadership of
Kim Jong Il, it said, and went on:

Socialist Korea could advance only along the road of victory thanks to his Songun leadership.

The Korean army and people have reliably defended the sovereignty and dignity of the country and socialism, resolutely containing with the might of Songun the anti-DPRK offensive of the U.S. styling itself the "only superpower" in the world. They are now making a new great revolutionary surge to open the gate to a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation in 2012 marking the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung.
