Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Rohekele Andre, president of the Working Citizens' Association of Democratic Congo, and the chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of the association made public a joint statement on Aug. 14 on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of Korea's liberation. The statement said that the working people in Democratic Congo urge the United Nations, the U.S. and Japan to strive to provide favorable circumstances for durable peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula and, in particular, withdraw the foreign troops from south Korea and the south Korean authorities to stop the anti-DPRK moves. It also strongly demanded that the present U.S. administration drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK. Hoping that the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula would be realized at an early date, the statement reaffirmed the stand to strengthen the solidarity with the peace-loving people of the world and extend sustained support to the just struggle of the Korean people. |
