Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- The Arab Committee for Solidarity with Korean People and Supporting the Reunification of Korea in Jordan issued a statement on August 11 to accuse the United States and the south Korean puppets of their Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercises.
The statement branded the exercises as a grave provocation further aggravating the tense situation of the Korean Peninsula and bringing it to the brink of war and destroying the historic June 15 joint declaration.
It has become clear that the U.S., which works in cahoots with the Lee Myung Bak clique branded as a traitor to the Korean nation, can not play any role for peace and stability of the world, to say nothing of the Korean Peninsula, it said, strongly demanding a halt to the joint military exercises posing threat to the DPRK and the rest of the world.
The U.S. should be aware that peace is realized through dialogue, not by bloody aggression, it held.
The statement expressed full support and solidarity with the Korean people in the struggle to drive the foreign forces out of the Korean Peninsula and achieve national reunification.
