In his Iranian Press TV appearance on August 16 he refuted the recent wrong view of the West on the DPRK, adding that the DPRK does not pose any threat to anybody and its war deterrent reliably guarantees the peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Asia

The DPRK had access to nuclear weapons because of the U.S. ceaseless nuclear threat and hostile policy towards it, he noted, and continued:

The DPRK has not only built up strong capability for self-defence including nuclear weapons but all its people are put under arms and they will turn out as one to defend the socialist country in single-minded unity in contingency.

The Korean people have striven hard to achieve national reunification since the division of the country.

The DPRK put forward not a few realistic and just proposals for reunification including the federal formula based on one nation, one state, two systems and two governments.

Korea's reunification is sure to be achieved according to the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo.
