Among the audience were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and working people in Pyongyang.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers including orchestral music "General on a Galloping White Horse" and "The Glow over Kangson", string ensemble for pizzicato "This Country Is So Good" and female tenor solo "Song of a Frontranker in the Chollima Movement".

The performers enthusiastically sang of the greatness of Kim Jong Il demonstrating the might of Juche Korea, an independent power, to the whole world by leading the struggle for defending socialism and building a great prosperous and powerful nation to victory.

On the same day performances were given by artistes of the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble and the Mansudae Art Troupe and members of the art group of the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace and acrobatic performances were given by artistes of the Pyongyang Circus and the Pyongyang Moranbong Circus. Art performances also took place at theaters in local areas.
