The music skit, created by creators and artistes of the Kangwon Provincial Art Troupe, deals with how women in Kumgang Village aided the front during the last Fatherland Liberation War.

The performers made vivid depiction of the history of great victory in which the front and the rear and the army and the people became an integrated whole and fought hard to defend the independence of the country and the gains of the revolution in the grim war against the imperialist aggressors. They also strikingly manifested the unshakable faith and will of the army and the people to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche with the might of the army-people unity and achieve final victory in the sacred struggle for prosperity of the socialist homeland.

At the end of the performance Kim Jong Il warmly acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the performers and audience and congratulated the performers upon the successful performance.

He appreciated the efforts of the creators and artistes, expressing satisfaction over the fact that they produced the peculiar work of high cognitive and educational value.

Noting that the artistes of the Kangwon Provincial Art Troupe have greatly contributed to educating the party members and other working people in a revolutionary way through revolutionary art activities over the past years, he highly estimated their feats. And he set forth tasks to be fulfilled in conducting more dynamic art creation and activities.

Among the audience were Chief Secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the WPK Ri Chol Bong, Secretary of the WPK Central Committee Kim Ki Nam, department directors, first vice department directors and other leading officials of the WPK Central Committee and KPA Generals Kim Won Hong, Hyon Chol Hae and Ri Myong Su and other commanding officers of the KPA.
