The statement said that the 40 years covered by the AINDF were a shining course in which it has strengthened in every way a driving force for the revolutionary movement in south Korea under the banner of the great Juche idea, the Songun idea, and powerfully encouraged and promoted with its might the movement for national liberation, democracy and independent reunification.

A particular mention should be made of the fact that the AINDF has joined the patriotic people from all walks of life in strenuously waging a massive struggle for promoting the independent and peaceful reunification of the country despite the blatant challenge of the anti-reunification forces under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself" by swimming with the strong trend of the era of the June 15 reunification ushered in by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The patriotic cause of the AINDF is commanding widespread support and encouragement from the Korean people and the world progressives and its influence is increasing with each passing day for its validity and positive struggles.

The patriotic people from all walks of life should intensify the struggle for independence against the U.S. in order to put an end to the U.S. imperialists' colonial domination and military occupation of south Korea, bearing in mind that there is neither democracy nor reunification without independence.

The organizations of the movement for the nation and democracy should wage an incessant movement for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops in different places and launch as an immediate task a dynamic struggle for peace against war in order to foil the north-targeted war moves of the bellicose forces keen to bring the dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over this land.

The AINDF together with the people from all walks of life will take the lead in the sacred struggle for independence, democracy and reunification in the future, too, and thus perform its historically important mission and role as people's patriotic vanguard in south Korea.
