Warm Devotion
Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- A small group of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by President Kim Il Sung was billeted in a valley in the early winter of Juche 29 (1940).

Anti-Japanese Heroine Kim Jong Suk went to a brook with laundry after other guerrillas fell fast asleep.

She cracked ice defying piercing cold and washed clothes. And then she drove sticks into the ground by the campfire to spread out the clothes.

At that time, an order of emergency call was issued.

She took in the washings quickly and joined the ranks.

When the group marched to another camping site at dawn, she entered the tent of the headquarters, carrying the smoothed clothes.

The moment the President saw her face so pale from cold and the dried clothes, he guessed what had happened and scolded her, saying who let her do so.

Then the guerrillas realized that she dried the washings, keeping them in her bosom.

The warm devotion shown by Kim Jong Suk was the acme of loyalty to the leader never to be seen in the world.
