Pyongyang, August 26 (KCNA) -- New books "Biography of Korean Martial Art Masters" (vol. 5) and "Synoptic History of Korea" (vol. 1) were published in the DPRK. The former writes about King Kwanggaetho who laid a solid foundation for unifying the three kingdoms and demonstrated the powerful national strength. The latter, a revised version, reviews the Korean history from the primitive age to the end of the 14th century. The book shows the indomitable struggle and creative ingenuity of the Korean nation who beat back foreign invaders and created a brilliant culture to greatly enrich the treasure-house of the human culture. It amends and supplements some parts of the history on the basis of successes made in research into the primitive and ancient history and departmental histories after the Mausoleum of King Tangun was discovered in Juche 82 (1993). |
