Rodong Sinmun Thursday observes this in a signed article.

It says:

The U.S. has further intensified its military blackmail, sanctions upon and blockade against the DPRK than ever before, considering it as one of the important levers for realizing its wild ambition for world hegemony to carry out its anti-DPRK strategy.

The U.S. regards the Korean Peninsula as the object it should put under its control under any circumstances in order to carry out its strategy for world hegemony.

When the peninsula is put under its control the U.S. can extend the sphere of its military activities in Northeast Asia close to the borders of China and Russia. This is what the U.S. regards most important and eyes at present.

It is the calculation of the U.S. bellicose forces that the tenser they render the situation on the Korean Peninsula, while staging large-scale war exercises against the backdrop of tightened sanctions and increased pressure upon the DPRK, the more favorable opportunity will present itself for its aggression against it.

The U.S. is contemplating waging the second Korean war as a final operation for laying an all-out military siege to the Eurasian continent.

Under the grave situation where the dark clouds of a nuclear war are gathering to hang over the inviolable land of the DPRK due to the U.S. imperialists' reckless moves to ignite a war of aggression its army and people are fully ready to go into action and sharply watching every move of the enemies.
