Pyongyang, August 28 (KCNA) -- G. Debarajan, secretary of the Central Committee of the All-India Forward Bloc, issued a statement on Aug. 22 to mark the 49th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.
Recalling that Kim Jong Il started the Songun leadership with his on-site guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960, the statement said that his Songun leadership is of weighty significance in the history of the Korean revolution.
Thanks to his Songun leadership, the KPA has grown to be an invincible army, it stressed.
The statement said that they wish the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people great successes in their efforts to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country and build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, holding high the banner of socialism, the banner of independence against imperialism.
