Today they are significantly celebrating the Youth Day with great pride of devoting themselves to the project for the reconstruction of Mansudae Street and other major construction sites.

The brigade, organized in May of Juche 64 (1975), has achieved great successes over last years in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and fortitude under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The members of the youth shock brigade built many monumental edifices such as the International Friendship Exhibition House, Grand People's Study House, Chongnyon (youth) Hotel, Changgwang Health Complex and Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and rendered distinguished services to the construction of the revolutionary sites in Mt. Wangjae, Samjiyon, Hoeryong and other parts of the country.

They also displayed to the full the heroic stamina of the Korean youths in the construction of major objects including the Kumgangsan Youth Railway Line electrification and Youth Hero Motorway.

The dwelling houses in Changgwang, Munsu, Kwangbok and Thongil streets and other parts of Pyongyang are also permeated with sincere efforts of the young builders.

The speed campaign youth shock brigade has produced lots of recipients of state commendation and order since its formation.
