Pyongyang, August 29 (KCNA) -- Seminars, Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibitions, photo exhibitions and film shows were held in Russia, Germany, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Mongolia between August 18 and 26 on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.
Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, books and photos on their immortal Songun revolutionary leadership exploits, photos on the invincible might of the Korean People's Army and the Korean people in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation, publications introducing the advantages of the Korean-style socialist system centered on the popular masses and handicrafts showcasing the wisdom and skills of Koreans.
Speakers at the events recalled that Kim Jong Il established the Songun political mode by successfully embodying the Songun idea founded by Kim Il Sung, thereby developing the KPA into an invincible army and dynamically pushing ahead with the overall socialist construction with the KPA as the mainstay.
The participants of the film shows watched Korean films such as "Reply of Korea" and "The Tower of the Juche Idea."
A congratulatory message to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the function in Germany.
