Pyongyang, September 3 (KCNA) -- A Brazilian preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung was inaugurated with due ceremony on August 25.
Jose Gil de Almeida, chairman of the Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee at the ceremony.
The preparatory committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events such as meetings, seminars and photo exhibitions to laud the immortal exploits performed by the President for the human cause of independence till April of 2012, the centenary of his birth.
