Jose Gil de Almeida, chairman of the Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK, said at the meeting that Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership with his on-site guidance to the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army provided a decisive guarantee for carrying forward the history and tradition of the Songun revolutionary cause in the DPRK generation after generation.

He said that Kim Jong Il formulated the principle of Songun that the army means the party, the state and the people and the Songun politics as the basic political mode under socialism.

He reiterated the organization's positive support and encouragement to the Korean people in their struggle to build a thriving socialist nation, while shattering the U.S. imperialists' every ceaseless provocation.

Jairo Gonzalez Trujillo, president of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea "Kanggye" of Colombia, in the lecture gave a detailed account of the fact that Kim Jong Il has cemented the foundation of the Songun politics by firmly establishing the system of party leadership over the whole army, and put forth a programme for modeling the whole army on the Juche idea and has wisely led the struggle to implement it, developing the Korean People's Army into invincible revolutionary armed forces.
