The picture album published by the Foreign Languages Publishing House deals with the historical facts that the traditional DPRK-China friendship provided by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Mao Zedong and other revolutionaries of the elder generation of China has grown strong under the care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Hu Jintao.

Present at the ceremony were Kang Nung Su, minister of Culture, officials in the field of the press, the delegation of the World Affairs Press of China led by its President Gao Shumao, Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and his embassy officials, Chinese guests staying in the DPRK and Chinese students.

Choe Kyong Guk, director and editor-in-chief of the Foreign Languages Publishing House, in his report referred to the fact that the above-said picture album, the first of its kind in the history of the development of the relations between the two countries, was released on the occasion of the "Year of DPRK-China Friendship". He expressed belief that the picture album would contribute to the development of the friendly relations between the two countries.

Gao Shumao in his speech noted the history proves that the Sino-DPRK friendship provided by Chairman Mao Zedong and President Kim Il Sung remains unbreakable.

Liu Xiaoming said in his speech that he would join the Korean comrades in brilliantly adorning the "Year of Sino-DPRK Friendship" and carving out a more beautiful future of the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations as desired by the leaders of the two countries.
