Pyongyang, September 5 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on August 25 on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of Songun revolutionary leadership.
Kim Jong Il has upheld President Kim Il Sung's idea of attaching importance to army and consistently adhered to it, the statement said, and continued:
Kim Jong Il achieved the unbreakable single-minded unity of the party, army and people, something unprecedented in history, and has bolstered up the Korean People's Army politically and ideologically and in military technique, holding fast to the principle that the KPA is the army of the leader, party and people.
Under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il the KPA has developed into invincible revolutionary armed forces and the DPRK has established a strong all-people and nationwide defence system and had access to nuclear deterrent for self-defence.
The Korean people will always emerge victorious under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il, it concluded.
