61st Birthday of DPRK Celebrated at DPRK Embassy in Moscow
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- A reception was given at the DPRK embassy in Moscow on Sept. 4 on the occasion of the 61st birthday of the DPRK.

Present at the reception on invitation were Borodavkin, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and other officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Interior and the Academy of Sciences of Russia, lawmakers of the State Duma and the Federation Council, officials of the Moscow City Government, the "United Russia" Party, "A Just Russia", the Communist Party of the Federation, the Party for Peace and Unity, the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the Moscow City Association of Veterans, the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, the Russian Federation of International Charity Organizations "World of Goodwill", the "Russian Railways" Company, the United Confederation of Koreans in Russia and members of organizations for the study of the Juche idea.

On hand were DPRK Ambassador to Russia Kim Yong Jae and officials of the embassy.

The participants placed a floral basket and bouquets before the full-length picture of President Kim Il Sung standing together with General Secretary Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them before looking round the works of the peerlessly great persons and photos on the history of the DPRK.

Speeches were made there.

Kim Yong Jae said that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Russia have favorably developed in the political, economic, cultural and other fields in the spirit of the joint documents agreed upon between the top leaders of the two countries and the treaty signed between the two states. He expressed belief that these relations would continue to develop in the interests of the two peoples.

Borodavkin noted that the relations between Russia and the DPRK are close relations of friendship and ties of multi-faceted cooperation in line with the fundamental interests of the two peoples.

He added Russia would make efforts to invariably boost the mutually beneficial relations with the DPRK in the political, economic and cultural and other fields.
