DPRK Artistes Perform in Beijing

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- Performances were given by the DPRK Cinema Musical Company on a visit to China at the Century Theatre in Beijing on September 4 and 5 on the occasion of the "year of DPRK-China friendship."

Among the audiences were prominent figures in the political, public, cultural and art circles, citizens in Beijing and staff members of the DPRK embassy there.

The performances began with a song "We Single-mindedly Cherish Our Loyalty" from Korean feature film "The Sea of Blood" adapted from the immortal classic masterpiece "The Sea of Blood."

The company put on the stage such music from Korean films as theme songs of films "The Flower Girl", "When We Pick Apples" and "The Nation and Destiny" and such music from Chinese films as "My Motherland", "The Red Flag" and "Ode to Heroes".

The performances which closed with a chorus of the immortal revolutionary hymn "Song of General Kim Jong Il" won a high acclaim of the audiences and evoked a lively response among them for their rich ideological contents and high artistry.
