Among the audience were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of party, armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, working people in the city, congratulatory groups, delegations and visiting groups of overseas compatriots and compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations here and foreign guests.

Put on the stage were instrumental music and song "Greeting the Sun Rising over the Taedong River", an immortal classic masterpiece, music "Song of Mangyongdae", mixed quintet "My Country of Songun" and other colorful numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the immortal exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung who successfully accomplished the cause of nation-building and built a socialist power centered on the popular masses on this land, laying an eternal foundation for national prosperity. They also highly lauded the undying exploits General Secretary Kim Jong Il has performed by demonstrating the dignity and might of the DPRK with his experienced and seasoned leadership.

Art performances were also given at theatres in Pyongyang and at those in local areas.

Artistes of the State Symphony Orchestra gave a concert at the Moranbong Theatre and those of the State Folk Art Troupe presented a music and dance performance at the Central Youth Hall.

An acrobatic performance was given at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre.

Music and dance performances were given at art theatres and cultural halls in various provinces.
