Thanks to the President's outstanding and tested leadership and immortal exploits in the government building the DPRK has fully demonstrated its might as a weapon for accomplishing the popular masses' cause of independence and made a glorious history of bringing about shining victories and epoch-making changes in the revolution and construction despite manifold difficulties and trials, he noted, and continued:

The President's exploits in the nation-building are firmly upheld and successfully carried forward and developed on a new high stage by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The tremendous attraction and vitality of Songun politics enforced by Kim Jong Il have been fully demonstrated in the struggle for the country's reunification and the external activities, he said, adding that the milestone of reunification, the embodiment of the idea of "By our nation itself," was provided, a new chapter of the nation-wide reunification movement opened and the international prestige and dignity of the DPRK rose remarkably and the independent dignity of Juche Korea came to shed more brilliant rays.
