Pyongyang, September 16 (KCNA) -- The Ikoma City Assembly of Nara Prefecture in Japan adopted a resolution on Sept. 11 demanding the government solve the issue of the "comfort women" for imperial Japanese army.
The resolution recalled that much water has flown under the bridge since Japan's neighboring countries suffered a lot from its colonial rule in the past but their wounds have not yet been healed but they will continue to suffer in the generations to come.
It stressed that Japan's sincere approach towards the above-said issue amounts to showing before the international community the will of the Japanese government to take measures against the recurrence of abuses of women's rights.
It urged the government to probe the truth behind the issue and give proper education to the younger generation.
