Chinese Envoy Places Wreath before Friendship Tower

Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- State Councilor of the People's Republic of China Dai Bingguo who is special envoy of Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China, and his party on a visit to the DPRK laid a wreath before the Friendship Tower Thursday.

Present there were Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK.

The honor guards of the Korean People's Army were seen standing there.

Amidst wreath-laying music a wreath in the name of the special envoy was laid there.

The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers who bravely fought on the Korean front and went round the tower.

The special envoy made an entry in the visitors' book.
