The work, published on September 25, Juche 76 (1987), teaches the revolutionary people the precious immutable truth that the nature of imperialism never changes and if one is to take the road of anti-imperialist struggle to the last one should grasp the advantages of socialism and its inevitable victory as faith and clarifies the precious revolutionary immutable principle that in order to successfully push ahead with the cause of socialism the people should direct main efforts to strengthening the driving force for the revolution.

Today the Korean people are looking back with high pride and self-esteem on the path of struggle covered by them under the uplifted banners of Songun and independence against imperialism, remaining true to the Workers' Party of Korea. But for the Korean people's belief that Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses is the best and confidence of sure victory of their cause, they would not have been able to weather out such the worst trial as the "arduous march," the forced march.

The Songun politics of the WPK is a brilliant embodiment of the idea and theory set forth in the work as it is strengthening in every way the singled-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks with the Korean People's Army as a core force.

The army and the people in the DPRK are now achieving signal successes on the anti-imperialist military front and the overall socialist construction, united close as one around the headquarters of the revolution.

The might of socialism is the might of the driving force for the revolution and that of the single-minded unity. Korean-style socialism is sure to always triumph thanks to the powerful driving force that has grown strong under the Songun leadership of the Party.
