Wreath Laid before Cemetery of Fallen Fighters of CPV

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Wen Jiabao, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, on an official goodwill visit to the DPRK laid a wreath before the cemetery of fallen fighters of the Chinese People's Volunteers in Hoechang County, South Phyongan Province, on Monday. Present at the wreath-laying ceremony with him were Yang Jiechi, minister of Foreign Affairs, Wang Jiarui, head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, Zhang Ping, minister in charge of the National Development and Reform Commission, Chen Deming, minister of Commerce, Cai Wu, minister of Culture, Xie Fuzhan, director of the Research Office of the State Council, Liu Xiaoming, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, Qiu Xiaoxiong, vice secretary-general of the State Council and director of the Premier's Office, Wu Dawei, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Liu Zhenqi, deputy director of the General Political Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, other suite members, staff members of the Chinese embassy here and Chinese guests staying in the DPRK. They were accompanied by Kim Yong Il, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Choe Jin Su, DPRK ambassador to China. A wreath in the name of Wen Jiabao was placed before the cemetery. The participants paid silent tribute to the fallen fighters of the CPV. Wen Jiabao laid a bouquet before the grave of Mao Anying and looked round the cemetery and graves of fallen fighters. After visiting the former CPV Command he in the visitor's book wrote that the feats performed by the CPV will shine long in history. He presented a souvenir to the county. |
