Present there were members of the Chinese youth friendship delegation led by Lu Hao, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.

Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, said in his speech at the meeting that the DPRK-China friendship President Kim Il Sung provided together with revolutionaries of the elder generation of China continues to favorably develop under the deep care of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and Hu Jintao.

He called on the youth organizations and youth of the two countries to boost the friendly exchange and cooperation.

Lu Hao hoped that the people and youth of the DPRK would register great success in socialist construction under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Il.

The Chinese youth would dynamically advance toward the future, further developing China-DPRK friendship with the Korean youth. Then a performance was given by the art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and young artistes of China.

The DPRK performers presented colorful numbers including chorus "Our General Is the Best" and mixed quartet "The Blue Sky over My Country".

Also staged were Chinese songs including chorus "Let's Sing of the Motherland" and male solo and pangchang "Song of One".

Young Chinese artistes put on the stage several pieces including solo and chorus "I and My Motherland" and male solo "Song of Grass-covered Plain".

They impressively sang Korean songs including mixed duet "Arirang" and female quartet "When Spring Comes Every Year".

At the end of the performance the youth of the two countries held merry dancing party to the tune of cheerful music.
