The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement said it would turn out in a more dynamic struggle for terminating the foreign domination and interference and paving a wide avenue for independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The Action Headquarters of the 17th-term south Korean Federation of University Student Councils said in a statement that the historic Pyongyang summit gave the Korean nation confidence in reunification and taught truth that independent reunification can be achieved when it dynamically advances along the road indicated by the June 15 joint declaration.

The statement noted that the October 4 declaration serves as a programme for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and a declaration for national independence and peaceful reunification as it calls for solving the issue of reunification independently in the spirit of "By our nation itself", attaching importance to the dignity and interests of the nation and orienting everything to this.

Noting that all the people on this land wish to see the inter-Korean relations radically improved, the statement urged the authorities to face up to the people's mindset and the trend of the times and opt for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

The statement called upon all people to carry on the vigorous struggle to firmly preserve and thoroughly implement the said declarations.
