The founding of the WPK by President Kim Il Sung on the basis of the historical roots of the Down-with-Imperialism Union and the precious experience gained in the days of the anti-Japanese revolution was a solemn declaration that heralded a fundamental change in carving out the destiny of the nation and a great political event that ushered in a new era of building a revolutionary party in the times of independence, the congratulatory message noted, and continued:

The more than six decade-long history of the WPK was a period shining with victory and glory in which it made a new history of epoch-making miracles, changes and steady victories under the leadership of the peerlessly great men and a glorious path along which it powerfully demonstrated the might and invincibility of the revolutionary party of Juche type before the whole world.

The WPK founded and led by the President greeted the golden days of its development under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, it noted, and continued:

You paved a wide avenue for making a switchover in the north-south relations strictly guided by the principle of independence, peaceful reunification and the great national unity and with warm compatriotism and a bold decision, instilling great hope and confidence into the Koreans desirous of national reconciliation and unity.

The vanguard fighters of the AINDF will rally all south Koreans from all walks of life as one and wage a more dynamic struggle for firmly preserving and implementing the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself" despite blatant challenges and obstructions of the anti-reunification forces and thus open up a new era of independent reunification and peace and prosperity full of vigor.
