Seen standing before the statue of the President on Mansu Hill was a floral basket sent by
Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Laid there were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, scientific, educational, cultural and art, public health and media institutions, industrial establishments and schools in Pyongyang, and flowers.

Also placed there was a floral basket in the name of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.

People from all walks of life paid tribute to the President in deep reverence for him.

Servicepersons and working people and school youth and children in different parts of the country laid floral baskets and flowers before the statues of the President in their residential areas.
