Songun Revolutionary Comrades

Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il, while sitting together with officials one autumn day of Juche 91 (2002), looked back upon the rigorous days of Songun revolutionary leadership. He thoughtfully recollected the day when he had climbed up Mt. Osong on the forefront, saying that the Songun politics was one entirely for the people. When the whole country was drowned in tears of sorrow after the unexpected demise of the great President Kim Il Sung, those whom he firmly believed were the army and people and their absolute trust in the Party and the leader. Encouraged by this, he overcame the fierce whirlwind of history and natural disasters and frustrated the intensified moves of the imperialists to stifle the DPRK. The faith that he could surely win because he has such a belief gave inexhaustible courage to him. That day he said in a resolute tone to the following effect: Victory should be followed by victory. If we are to win a final victory, we have a lot of work to do and should cover a long journey. To greet the day of victory, let us unite firmly around the Party in one mind and one will and discharge our duty with responsibility. I hope that you will always keep in mind the precious title of being revolutionary comrades in the Songun era. The officials, deeply moved by his teachings, looked up to Kim Jong Il who called the army and people Songun revolutionary comrades sharing the same ideology and will with him. |
