The bulletin captioned "WPK Is Banner of Independence against Imperialism" said in an article:

The idea, line and strategy and tactics of the WPK clearly indicate the way of accomplishing the cause of independence against imperialism.

President Kim Il Sung founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945 and laid down a line and strategy and tactics for the victorious advance of the cause of independence against imperialism through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities in the course of leading the party for nearly half a century.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il developed in depth the Songun idea founded by Kim Il Sung, setting forth a strategy and tactics of giving importance to arms and putting forward the army as a main force to cope with the evermore undisguised moves of the imperialists against socialism towards the end of the last century.

The WPK is powerfully encouraging the implementation of the cause of independence against imperialism by setting an example in practice.

Thanks to the energetic activities of the WPK, the Non-Aligned Movement has grown to be a political force not only adhering to its principle but also defending independence and positively supporting the people in their efforts to build a new society.

The bulletin entitled "Party Is Standard-bearer of Songun Revolution" in an article said:

The WPK having Kim Jong Il as its general secretary has grown strong to be a force guiding the cause of Songun revolution, meeting all sorts of challenges.

Kim Jong Il held higher the banner of the Songun revolution on the basis of a scientific analysis into the world political situation and the situation of the Korean revolution at the end of the last century.

It is thanks to the Songun idea that the WPK has functioned as a force guiding the cause of Songun as it has always adhered to the revolutionary principle and victoriously advanced socialism with arms.
