DPRK Important Days Marked in Kuwait

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The Kuwaiti preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung and the Kuwait-Korea Friendship Association jointly issued a special bulletin on Oct. 8 on the occasions of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea and the second anniversary of the adoption of the October 4 declaration.

The bulletin in an article gave a detailed account of the fact that the WPK has consistently pursued popular policies under the slogan "We serve the people!" enjoying the absolute support and trust of the popular masses.

It referred in detail to the fact that the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration, a milestone of national reunification, and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing it, were provided.

Under the wise leadership of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il, the Korean people have dynamically advanced the cause of the country's reunification while frustrating all sorts of challenges and obstructions of the separatist forces, the bulletin said, adding that the cause of national reunification is sure to be accomplished thanks to the independent stand maintained by him.
