Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Many literary works including dozens of full-length novels and medium-length stories, epics and long poems have been created by writers of the DPRK up to now since the outset of the year. The full-length novels "Groundwork for Happiness" and "Shining Dawn" are very popular among the readers as they make a truthful and unique depiction of the noble ideological and moral qualities of the people in the era of Songun. Full-length novels "The Great Bear" and "Annual Rings" and medium-length stories "Warm Spring Scenery" and "Shallow Well" and other works are also popular among the readers as they make a profound philosophical portrayal of people's life under socialism. Epics, a long poem and other works emphasize the truth that the history of President Kim Il Sung is given steady continuity and a thriving socialist nation is sure to emerge on this land thanks to the Songun revolutionary leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il. Among the newly created works are literary works of diverse themes and genres such as full-length historical story "Mun Ik Jom" and a long juvenile story "Lark Reporter's Notes on His Experiences." |
