Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- A joint seminar on the experience gained by the Workers' Party of Korea in the party building was held in London on October 8 on the occasions of the 64th anniversary of the founding of the WPK and the 83rd anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union. Displayed in the venue of the seminar were photos on the feats performed by the peerlessly great persons in building and leading the party and photos on the path of victory and glory covered by the WPK. The floor was taken by Harpal Brar, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), Andy Brooks, general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, Dermot Hudson, chairman of the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, Keith Bennet, deputy director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, and others. All of them highly praised General Secretary Kim Jong Il for having strengthened and developed the WPK founded by President Kim Il Sung into a Juche-oriented revolutionary party and brought about a turning phase in the building of a thriving nation and the cause of national reunification with his indefatigable Songun revolutionary leadership. They stressed that it is only the WPK which fully ensured the undisputed authority and prestige of the leader in the party building and activities and achieved the steel-strong unity and cohesion based on the idea and steersmanship of the leader. Recalling that under the leadership of the WPK the Korean people have worked miracles of the century while frustrating the imperialist allied forces' every move against the DPRK, they pointed out that the invincible WPK having a solid mass foundation has victoriously led the popular masses' cause of independence, undeterred by any adversity and tempest. A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the seminar. Attending the seminar were members of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), the New Communist Party of Britain, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the Coordinating Committee of Friends of Korea, and other political parties and organizations and the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea and masses. |
