The chairman warmly congratulated the Korean people on the 64th anniversary of the WPK and the 83rd anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

He said that he was deeply moved to learn about the great achievements made by the Korean people in the struggle to build a thriving nation and reunify the country while foiling the U.S. imperialists' moves for stifling the DPRK under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.

He stressed that he felt greatly proud and confident of the fact that Kim Jong Il has bolstered up the nuclear deterrent and developed the Korean People's Army into an invincible army to cope with the U.S. imperialists' escalated nuclear threat.
