Japan accused of Disallowing Participation in Event by Koreans from China

Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification held a press conference in Seoul on October 15 at which it denounced the Japanese authorities' unreasonable action taken to disallow the participation of representatives of Koreans from China in an event for reunification.

At the press conference speakers denounced the Japanese Ministry of Justice for disallowing the entry into Japan by the said representatives to participate in the meeting of overseas Koreans for defending and implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.

They held the struggle of overseas Koreans to reunify the country divided by foreign forces by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation cannot become a target of interference and suppression by anyone.

They demanded the Japanese government immediately lift the sanctions against the DPRK and ensure the free visit to the homeland by Koreans in Japan, etc.

The Solidarity for Progress of south Korea issued a statement on the same day in denunciation of the Japanese authorities' unreasonable suppression of overseas Koreans.
