Regular Seminar of IIJI Held in Japan
Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- A regular seminar of the International Institute of the Juche Idea was held in Japan on Oct. 5.

Attending it were Secretary General Kenichi Ogami and Director Takao Kamakura of the IIJI, Fujio Hanawa, secretary general of the Japanese National Liaison Council of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other Juche idea followers and So Chung On, director of the Department for International Relations and Reunification Issue of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

A lecture of explaining General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea Is a Socialist State of Juche with Invincible Might" was given at the seminar.

Also a lecture of explaining the amended and supplemented Constitution of the DPRK was given by Noriaki Ouchi, director of a research institute of Kanto Gakuin University of Japan who is a researcher of the IIJI. The lecturer stressed that the Constitution enhanced the position and authority of the DPRK National Defence Commission in keeping with the requirements of the era of Songun.

Takao Kamakura, director of the IIJI, in his speech titled "The situation of Korea and our tasks" referred to the signal achievements being made by the DPRK in external relations.

Saying that practices of antagonizing the DPRK have not yet been surmounted in Japan, he urged the need to strive to develop the friendly relations with the DPRK.
