Jujube trees in orchards and around dwelling houses, institutions, industrial establishments, schools and other public buildings in Sariwon City and Unpha, Pongsan and Hwangju counties are heavily laden with fruits.

Jujube produced in Yangdong-ri, Unpha County, is famous for its good taste.

The province has conducted in a perspective way the work for planting and spreading widely high-yielding jujube trees with Yangdong-ri as a model.

As a result the province has gathered a large amount of jujube every year from the jujube trees planted in the fields of thousands of hectares on the fruit-growing farms and co-op farms, along roads and in gardens.

The province is directing great efforts to increasing jujube production.
