On the display stand of the exhibition hall were potted Kimilsungias, flowers of the sun, and potted Kimjongilias, immortal flowers, in full bloom against the background of a large electric picture depicting Lake Chon on Mt. Paektu and a model of the Party Founding Memorial Tower. Seen on both sides of it were floral baskets from various organizations.

Speeches were made at the ceremony of opening the exhibition.

Yang Hongzhun, general manager of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse in Hunchun, expressed conviction that the exhibition would help further deepen the friendship between the two countries and give confidence and courage to the Korean people devotedly working to open the gate to a thriving socialist nation at any cost in 2012 as intended by Kim Jong Il, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

Speakers said that Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia are flowers in praise of the great men which have come into full bloom with boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

They stressed that the exhibition would mark a significant occasion conducive to boosting friendship and solidarity between the peoples of the two countries.
