The bulletin in an article titled "The new great revolutionary surge in the DPRK and a thriving nation" said that the all-people onward movement is now being dynamically conducted in the DPRK with the goal to build a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation.

In December 2008 Kim Jong Il visited the Chollima Steel Complex to kindle the torch of new great revolutionary surge, it noted, and said:

In retrospect, President Kim Il Sung visited the workers of Kangson in December 1956 to start the Chollima movement.

Today the Korean people are bringing about the same surge of leaping progress as they did at that time.

They are determined to open the gate to a thriving nation in 2012 marking the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea.

Under the Songun policy of Kim Jong Il the DPRK has already turned into a political and ideological and military power.

So, it can be said to be a thriving nation both in name and reality when it becomes an economic power.

Kim Jong Il is at the head of the grand march of the Korean people dynamically advancing towards the goal of a thriving nation.

The Korean people will in the near future win victory through the new grand revolutionary march for building a thriving nation.
