The general secretary said at the meeting that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) is rejoiced as over its own over the great successes made by the Korean people in their drive to open the gate to a thriving socialist nation in 2012, the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung, under the correct leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the Workers' Party of Korea.

Noting that the friendly bonds between the CPI (M) and the WPK have a long tradition on the anti-imperialist front, he said that the party would value this tradition and make efforts to boost the solidarity between the two parties.

He stressed that he would always extend positive support and solidarity to the Korean people in their cause.
