Among them is Pyongyang May 13 Ryongnam Secondary School. It has been well known to the whole country for its produce of many able male footballers.

The school has distinguished itself in over 10 national or Pyongyang City male football contests of secondary school students, including the National Schoolchildren's Sports Contest for Jongilbong Prize.

Graduates of the school, Choe Myong Ho, Kim Yong Jun, An Il Bom and Kim Chol Ho of the DPRK team made their bit in the 2006 AFC Under-19 Soccer Championship, the Asian final preliminary for FIFA 2010 World Cup and other international soccer games.
