Repeal of Japan's Hostile Policy toward DPRK Urged
Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- Representatives of civic organizations in Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo of Japan on Oct. 29 staged an action of urging the authorities to make a switchover in Japan's hostile policy toward the DPRK.

In the letter of request addressed to the Japanese prime minister the organizations called for conveying the willingness to resume Japan-DPRK talks to the DPRK, immediately lifting the ban on international mail delivery and opposing the "special measures bill allowing inspections of sea and air cargo traveling to and from north Korea".

The co-representative of the Solidarity of Citizens in Osaka Prefecture Demanding Earlier Normalization of the Relations between Japan and the DPRK, the permanent director of the Japan-DPRK Friendship Kyoto Net for Promoting Cultural and Scientific Interchange among Citizens and the director of the Hyogo Prefectural People's Council for Japan-DPRK Friendship submitted letters of request calling for settling the issues between the two countries through dialogue, not by sanctions, and urgent letters of request calling for repeal of the said bill to the Ministry of National Land and Communications, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Cabinet Office and urged those concerned to opt for sincere implementation of the Japan-DPRK Pyongyang Declaration.
