Kim Yong Nam in the message noted that the Syrian people could protect the sovereignty of the country and the national dignity and achieve social progress and prosperity thanks to the corrective movement carried out under the leadership of Hafez Al-Assad, the leader of advance.

Expressing the belief that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger, the message hoped that the Syrian people would register success in the work to accelerate the modernization of the country and seek a fair and comprehensive solution to the Mideast issue under the correct leadership of the Arab Baath Socialist Party headed by the President.
