Brisk Autumn Land Management Campaign
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- The autumn land management campaign is in full swing in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The campaign includes projects of building and repairing roads, improving rivers and streams, anti-land-sliding project and the work for covering the whole country with thick woods and greenery by collecting seeds of trees of good species and economic value and increasing sapling production.

Those in Pyongyang have arranged ditches and roads, planted good species of many trees and spruced the surrounding environment of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the sacred temple of Juche, in particular.

Junghwa County dug waterway extending tens of kilometers by removing 48,000 cubic metres of earth so as to irrigate hundreds of hectares of paddies.

North Phyongan Province is pushing ahead with the project for the overall repair of the Pyongyang-Hyangsan Tourist Motorway, road construction of various cities and county towns and reservoir embankment projects.

Colorful projects are being undertaken in Kangwon Province. It builds a mother nursery and repairs and manages roads in a regular way.

Especially Sepho, Anbyon, Ichon and other counties of the province improved the technical conditions of roads through intensive projects of widening roads and retaining walls in some sections of roads.

River and tide embankment projects are being carried on on a big scale in cities and counties of North and South Hamgyong provinces and North and South Hwanghae provinces.

The people in Ryanggang and Jagang provinces located in the northern highlands have wound up the work of collecting seeds of trees of good species and planting trees for forestation.
